Anyone who has ever had a child, or watched a child grow, knows that time goes by fast. Only one week ago we were at the hospital waiting :) and now we have a one week old! It has been a blessing and a challenge. Recovering from major surgery is a little different than I thought but Andy and his parents (who arrived on Tuesday) have been so wonderful with everything. I am still pretty sore but know I am on the mend.
Hadley LOVES her sister. She is always wanting to hold her and kiss her. She tries to give her a pacifier whenever she finds one laying around too. We have been trying to give her lots of attention too but it is hard when I can't pick her up or put her to bed but we are trying! Nana and Papa have really helped in this area!
Jonell is already a good baby. Again, we are reminded about how much God has blessed us. She cries when she gets her diaper or clothes changed and when she is hungry. Last night she woke up at 2:30 and then at 6:15 to eat.....I could get used to that! We'll see if it continues or if it was a one time thing!
Since I had a C-section, our little trip out west was postponed. Andy will leave on Saturday since we are supposed to be there on Monday but the girls and Nana and I will leave next week sometime. I have to cleared by the doctor to leave and I have an appointment on Monday morning. Pray that she says everything looks good so we can leave too.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during this time. We are loving being parents to two beautiful girls but we have a busy schedule ahead of us. Pray for Andy's mom that she enjoys her time out west too....her and Hadley are going to have a blast together! Pray also that things go smoothly with Joni and me since I'll technically be "working."
We love you all and hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
