Fasting for Royce

A sweet of ours have set this up for us.  Check it out if you are interested.  Thank you!!!

Please join many of us in fasting and praying for The Huber's and Royce's reuniting at HOME. We desire to have one person praying and fasting each day until God, in His perfect timing, brings Royce to Kansas. Our goal is 31 people, making it once a month for the participants. I'll make the rotation on Sunday.

Click on this link, "like" the page, and comment on the post that you want to participate.

If you don't have Facebook, respond to our email, and we will get you on the rotation.    jandelickey@gmail.com

If you can't fast from food, you could fast from something else in your day. Something noticeable and reoccurring that prompts you to express longing in prayer for The Huber Five.

March Through September Catch-Up :)

Weddings, retirement, camping, birthdays, Easter, and family....it's been a good spring/summer even while we wait for Royce to come home.  We have almost been waiting 11 months for exit letter and even though it gets harder with each passing day, we are trusting in God's timing and praying our wait is almost over.
March--a trip to Wyoming for my mom's retirement and our first family picture with everyone since Joni was a baby.
April--Royce turned 2, we celebrated Easter, and the girls and I did a school field trip to see the Kansas Speedway (super interesting).
May--Joni turned 7, more field trips (that IS a live cockroach), some camping before the summer heat hit, and we went to our first Royals game

June--we introduced the girls to their drive-in movie theater and Joni finally lost her first tooth

July--my family came for a visit and the South Dakota Mission Trip with the Youth Group
August--the girls' friend Jaden came for a visit (she moved to Las Vegas last year), their combined birthday party (see if you can guess the theme), the Eclipse which turned out to be not so great with Kansas covered in clouds, and Andy's cousin's wedding in Texas with family.
September--my cousin's wedding and my grandma's celebration of life service in Washington, Hadley started 3rd grade and Joni started 2nd grade, Hadley turned 9 (and we celebrated with a visit from Oma and Opa), fun with friends (and their goats), and more camping (and fishing).
Thank you all again for praying and thinking about us while we wait for Royce.  Adoption isn't for the faint of heart.  Waiting is so hard.  We thank you for walking this road with us.  Love to you all!

The Rest of Winter

We know you are all anxiously waiting to hear more news, and so are we!  We are telling people that when we know, YOU WILL KNOW!  We will be screaming it from the rooftops and blowing up Facebook :)  Until then, we wait and pray that each day is going to be THE DAY.  In the meantime, here are a few pictures of the last couple of months.  Love to you all!
Valentine's Day was filled with love and kisses and heart shaped egg-in-a-nests and our first go at homemade Valentine boxes.  I married a guy who sets his Valentine box standards rather high.  They were fun, but lots of work.  We are already planning for next year ;)
As one of our amazing Christmas presents this year, the Hubers got us a membership to Union Station in Kansas City.  It includes Science City and a discount to the traveling exhibits (Pompeii).  I see lots of "science field-trips" in our future.  Thank you Nana and Papa!
Joni got reading glasses.  Could she be any cuter?
We took a field-trip with some other homeschool kids and had a fun Dr. Suess Day.  The girls made Oobleck, built towers to hold "10 Apples up on Top," and we ate green eggs and ham.

We went on our first camping trip of the year!  We love it and have to carve time out of our crazy schedules to make it happen but when we do, we enjoy it so.  And its not camping without Shing-fling-ding for breakfast....and this time we had a truck load of it :)
One of our favorite things about living in Leavenworth is the small town feel but the big city isn't far away.  We go to Kansas City every now and then and when friends want to tag along its even more fun.  We hit up Fritz's this week and a free traveling play center (this quarter's theme was Under the Sea).
